Quarter Master designed this 7.25" Mitsubishi Evo Race Clutch to perform well in a variety of Evo 8/9 racing platforms. With a typical one-piece cover design, the floater and pressure plates usually wear into the drive legs. However, with this new 8-leg design, that's no longer an issue. The 8 integral steel hardened legs provide a longer lifespan, and reduces stress on the drive legs by 25%. The gear drive clutch hub is located on the friction pack, enabling easier transmission installation, and smoother and quicker shifting. The rebuildable design ensures an extra long lifespan out of the clutch.
We use a Quarter Master Clutch in our Shop Talon (8.73@167mph), and also in my stock turbo powered Evo 9 (10.90@126mph). Unless you have the money for a Tilton, this is the best clutch for the price. We’ve tested these clutches in multiple cars, and couldn’t be happier with the performance. These clutches can take the beating! This 2-disc design is great for drag and road racing enthusiasts and their up to 800 hp Evo 8/9's.
