ACD PUMP

Hey Everyone, I'm new to the forums so I hope I'm posting this in the right spot. I have a 2005 Evo 8 and I was hoping I could get some advice here. My lights on my dash have been on for sometime now, I took it to the dealer and the told me my pump was out and need to be replace. A new one cost around $2500.00 and I just don't have that kinda cash. So I was seeing if there was any way to get this rebuild and if so if any one knows anyone who can do that it would be apperciated thanks alot and i look forward on being on the forum.

I havent seen that yet i wouldnt want to do it on my own cause my lucky i would mess it up completely lo. i was just seeing if there is a company out there that would do that.

look up acd-tuning...they have reasonably priced rebuild kits...or send it to them...

Yeah i looked them up and im on the waiting list i just dont know how long ill be on there i need it done asap so i hope they can get some rebuild kits in soon since there out right now

Mine just fail recently also. Car only has 33k miles, seen only one winter, ran out of warranty in March. So I'm pissed. My friend gave me his used one from his totaled evo. I'm going to try and install it tomorrow. Hope it works, because im tired of seeing those 3 lights. so if anyone is in the Gurnee area and want to give me a hand or a foot to press on the gas while I bleed it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah man that sucks Im way tired at looking at those dang lights too so yea im on the waiting list but i just dont know how much longer i can wait thats the only thing im waiting so im hoping there is someone else that makes the rebuild kits for them

I just got this too. I've been reading on the other sites that it's ok to drive like this, you just won't get the neat Evo features (one guy drove 30K miles with it). I plan to pick up a used one, if I can find one, or else just ship it out to them for service. Installing a new plate looks easy but when I saw him grinding away at the pump, that's the part where I rather have someone know what they are doing take a look. Sucks cause this is my DD but quote from dealer was $2,400 + tax, lol..... $600 + ~$120 for a week rental is way cheaper than $2,400.

Yea im just order a rebuild kid for $220 and having someone rebuild it for me its alot cheaper then buying a new one

Hey guys just to make sure before i buy this kit if all three lights are on my dash that means the pump is out or can it be something else. i just dont wanna by the rebuilt kit if it can be something else?

It can be your ABS sensors or a number of other things. All 3 ACD lights being on is similar to a CEL light. You can plug in a tactrix cable and read the AYC/ACD fault code using evoscan. Search the other site for specific codes and what they mean.

Could be a wheel speed sensor. A G sensor. A pressure sensor. A few different things. You can read the codes by grounding a pin on your obd2 port and count the flashing lights.
