My wife's newest song

As some of you know my wife is a singer and over the last week she put together a song for her Dad for his 50th birthday this weekend. She sang an arrangement of an old Christan song that he used to sing to her to put her to bed when she was a kid.

Her brother is a producer and with the help of Nathan Johnson (The Sailor Sequence) and the drummer of his band- they produced and incredible piece of art and quite the present for her dad.

Jessica's voice along with the guitar of Nathan, keys by Ryan Cork, drums by all three of the guys, various electronic goodies, and the production/mastering by Ryan- together makes an amazing sound and this my new favorite song.

I realize a lot of you on here aren't religious, are guys, and probably are into hardcore music- so I don't expect you to jam this, lol - just give it a hear and think of it more as a sentimental type song to your parents or kids.

Sweet!!!! Tell me that when that when that drum beat kicks in - it isn't the sweetest. That's three different drummers on all recorded in a live room at the studio.

The part in the middle where you hear here voice was done by her leaving a voicemail on my phone as if she was leaving it for her dad, and then it was played on speaker near the chords of Nathans guitar and all the effects were done with his pedals. He's a musical genius. aha his band will be on one tree hill next month or something.

Thanks again guys for the props. I'm so proud of her and her talented brother and my good friend Nate. All three will make a name for themselves in the music industry.

Well it wasn't until we moved out here that she was able to hit the studio www.premierstudios.com - but she has been singing in front of people her whole life.

There's a CD being mastered right now that has her in all the songs, maybe 1 or 2 solo, and there's a Christmas song she did a duet type deal with this other dude- who she's never met- they recorded in different states. It's really good though. I can post that if you'd like. It's not a song most people know.

But with her brother taking over the audio potrion of the studio in July- she'll be in there a lot with some good producers and amazing musicians. I'm so proud of her!

Thanks dude! Totally- chill is her style, and the musicians as well, but there's always a theme in all the music they do- huge emphasis on the drums.

I don't really know you, I am not religious, and I don't prefer rock music most of the time..but I know a talented voice when I hear one and the voice on that MP3 has talent.

Yeah I listen ot a lot of hardcore/post-hardcore stuff and I didn't even know a few of the bands were all Christians, but once I was able to decipher the lyrics I looked them up and found out that they aren't necessarily a "Christian band" but they are all Christian and it heavily influences their lyrics and lifestyle.

exactly. i have a bunch of friends as well in my area that are all in bands that are MAJOR christians and they practice the religion very much so as well (being in the bible belt and all...lol). it definitely influences their lyrics but you would NEVER know it by the sound of the music in general. heck...i've even been told that i listen to "angry music"...yet the lyrics say COMPLETELY the opposite. and besides...i'm the least angry person ever. lol

Thanks man!! She works with guys who are mainly into that kind of music as well so you kind of get a bit of a different flavor with these songs.
