As of now, I don't believe anyone makes them. If you check around on the various sale forums youll see the bottom bezel pop up from time to time. Be prepared to drop 200-400 bucks for it though. I got mine for 250. As far as the upper bezel goes, japanparts.com or something like that has them for 49 bucks plus shipping.
jeez!! 400 bucks?? might need to break out the dremel....
hmmm Double Din?
Id say do the fab yourself. I dont think 250 was worth it since mine has poor fitment which means I have to do something creative with LEDs and such to make it look like the piece isnt just crap. Id be willing to bet that with a spar cubby and spare stock hvac bezel you could make something that looks far superior to the cheapy looking Orbital kit.
i already made my own kit. all you need is the gloss black jdm dd bezel from japan parts and a radio relocation kit from burscher i think was the cheapest. Then all you do is cut the stock havac bezel out to fit the radio relocation kit and gotta cut some stuff up in the back to make room for havac and cables pretty simple. i did it in like an hour. I will try to get some pics up if i can find my camera one reason i havent taken pics for awhile lol
yea please do put some pics up!
whats double din?
Double Din is a size of cd/radio/dvd deck. Basically, if you take our stock deck and put another one on top of it, thats the size of a double din deck. So to put one in our cars, you need to move the HVAC controls down to the bottom cubby.
It's cool brother take your time. It's just something that i've been interested in for a while, i saw someone with that mod on the Forum that we must not speak of. question though, since i have an RS i have factory gauges at the very botton under the HVAC, is that gonna be a problem
Well here ya go its not totally finished i need to finish big trim piece. Also get some havac stickers and maybe glue the havac piece down with some black caulk to make it flush and perty
