it is tempting for sure!
yeah I was going to do the 6765 but spoke to Robert at FP and he said he was coming out with a 6765 killer (3794) it seems to be living up to the nickname.
So far the experience I have with the 6765 on my 2.3 is pretty good but I'm sure the 3794 would be leaps in improvement. I’ll see how the 6765 does down the 1320 if I get tired of it here I come 3794 or BW 91-80.
how's the car doing on the 6765 currently?
Well I was able to get some initial cruise tuning done but my hobbs switch for my second fuel pump crapped out. I fixed that and I drove to work the next day and my Exedy triple went out on me Ahh. The car didn't feel sluggish at all I had 38lbs at around 5500 if I remember correctly. No full pulls were made but felt good to 7000 in third.
yeah I bet it did, a shame about the clutch.
bump
I know a simple solution to that problem
Hey chris any chance of you guys doing a back to back testing with the new twin scroll 6765? I have an evo your more than welcome to test both turbo's on. I have a 4094r, twin scroll 6765, and Im sure you can scrounge up a twin scroll housing for that 3794r in fact we might be able to use the 4094r rear housing. I know of a dyno pretty close to us. It will all be on a very efficient manifold design, as well as pretty abnormal engine combo.
I can call you and talk about it more if you want.

Just thought I would bump this up... I have had my 3794 for about a month just putting around on only 30psi... Def not as street friendly has the HTA86 was, but when it comes on you better hang on... I still have a few other lil things to do before it gets strapped down on an Ego crushing mustang dyno(probaby within a month). I will keep you all updated on how it does... To give you a comparision in numbers... On this Mustang dyno w/ my 3586 it made 617/533 heat soaked after tuning for hours... On a dynodynamics is made 680 then broke the tires loose...next pull did 711 then broke the tires loose and i pulled it off
Awesome- someone who has this turbo!!!!
no way
finally
Tune date is set for June 18th
thanks for sharing the additional data. our overseas customer with the 3794 that did 600 on 91 octane picked up an AEM Meth kit from us to improve the octane. It'll be interesting to see what we can do with that. Our preference is always race gas or e85 over meth but he's aware of the risk and desperate for more power. Unfortunately that's all he has available.
600 on what kinda dyno?
dynojet
Alright....peaking 42psi holding 40psi to redline with 100+temps outside...
737/543 with cams zeroed out - Mustang dyno
731/570 with cam gears adjusted, stayed with this because it made 50+whp for over a 1000rpms more than the zeroed out one on top of the nice torque gains =)
for those of you that want dyno jet/digital numbers you would be looking at 841+whp
This is also done on a NON PORTED HEAD. I was super happy with the outcome and am looking forward to driving it tonight!!!
I heard...stupid power!
What did Tom have to say about the setup?
