AMS EVO 8/9 F1-I Intake Manifold
The AMS EVO 8/9 F1-I Intake Manifold was designed to outperform every 4G63 manifold available including our own VSR. We referenced many modern design examples and engineering studies to bring you the best intake manifold ever made for the EVO VIII/IX.
For the past 3 years the AMS VSR has been the standard to which all other manifolds were compared. For the F1-I the plan was simple, to take our already power potent VSR and make it even better! Designed and prototyped in house by our team of engineers the new AMS F1-I Intake Manifold now features cast aluminum construction for added strength. Casting this manifold also allowed us to optimize the output of the manifold with larger bell horns, larger plenum, and matched cylinder port angles.
In preliminary testing the plastic/fiberglass F1-I prototype was tested back to back against the AMS VSR. At only 15 pounds of boost the new design made an additional 15-17whp horsepower across the board! 5% gains were seen throughout the ENTIRE POWER BAND!

Note: Please indicate when ordering what throttle body you will run. If you want to run the 4.6 flange AMS recommends running the Boomba throttle body to keep stock like idle and driveability.
Note: Due to throttle body placement on the F1-I, the upper IC pipe may need to be modified. Proper throttle cable adjustment is needed to ensure 100% throttle opening. A throttle stop (available through AMS) may be needed for aftermarket throttle bodies.
Note: A catch can or alternative routing of the PCV is required during installation of this product.

Magnus Motorsports V5 Cast Aluminum EVO Intake Manifold
By applying a unique design and a massive 5L plenum, this cast manifold means big power and big power sooner!
Cast in A356 Aluminum with a wall thickness of 3/16″; the Plenum shape features a varying contoured tapered profile at a volume of 5 liters. The runners themselves are completely revolutionary in their design; featuring an integrated velocity stack that gradually transitions into the head port profile. It was designed entirely against the shape of the original cylinder head port taking advantage the 10° port entry of the EVO head maintaining uninterrupted laminar flow.
The Magnus Cast Intake Manifold will work with throttle bodies from stock right up to 100mm and have seen consistent gains from 30 awHp to 52 awHp with varying setups. Transient boost response is exceptional and it can bolt together in a stock location if required while still being able to be used on a full blown race application.

Buschur Racing Fabricated Intake Manifold
The BR fabricated intake manifold has provisions for the dipstick to be bolted on and uses the stock or any aftermarket fuel rail. The throttle body flange is 65mm to mate up to modified stock throttle bodies. We do not use tapped holes or a block that you have to drill and tap for boost/vacuum fittings. We have billet aluminum bungs/nipples welded into the intake manifold. This makes it impossible for them to strip or leak. Just push your hoses onto the supplied/installed nipples.
There is one located in the back of the plenum for the brake booster, two on the drivers side end under the throttle body for BOV and a MAP sensor or Boost control. On the passenger end there are two more nipples one for fuel pressure and boost or MAP sensor.
Having the fittings in the back of the intake is just a pain in the butt, they are impossible to get to. Having the fittings on the top or front just makes it look cluttered. The fittings on our intake have been placed where they need to be so they can be used with the shortest hose routing and look clean.
DYNO TESTING
The intake manifold has been dyno'd now with two different cubic inch engines, 2 liter and 2.1 and has been dyno'd with two different sets of cams, BFIC 272's and a custom set of Crane's. In all testing this intake manifold has out performed every other intake manifold that was have tested.
REAL WORLD TESTING
This intake manifold is the one currently on the "BAD BISH". It has been proven to make over 700whp already and run consistent LOW 9 second passes all back to back in mid 90 degree weather and high humidity.

JM Fabrications "Drag Version" Sheetmetal Intake Manifold 7-9
We’ve all heard the saying "Bigger is Better"….that statement couldn’t be more true when it comes to turbocharged cars and intake manifolds. Introducing our aluminum DRAG VERSION sheetmetal intake manifold for the 7/8/9 EVO. This intake manifold is for the hard core racers only! If your running a 35R or larger turbo, continue reading……if your not then now is a good time to hit the browsers BACK button! These are hand made, TIG welded from high quality 6061 T6 aluminum. The flanges are all CNC machined and surfaced for precise fitment and a leak free seal. The plenum measures in approx. at a whopping 5 liters. Velocity stacks are CNC machined into each plenum bottom to improve airflow by 10-15%. The vacuum ports are placed on the underside of the plenum for a clean professional look. They are available unpolished or with a mirror like polish. Expected gains can be anywhere from 10-45 HP depending upon your setup! Each manifold comes with a custom made SS dipstick tube. Some modifications to your upper intercooler pipes may be needed, as this manifold sits down a lot lower then stock. If using the Accufab and other aftermarket throttle bodies, please note that the throttle cable and TPS sensors may need modifying. This manifold will also eliminate your EGR system so if you are not running a stand alone engine management most likely you will receive a CEL due to the eliminated EGR. An ECU flash is in the works to eliminate this error code.

MAP Rev3 Modified Intake Manifold Evo 8/9
It's finally here! The MAPerformance ported Evo intake manifold!
This intake is unlike most anything on the market, especially for the price. We are able to port the runners much further than most our competitors and fully port the plenum. But why stop there? This manifold is then cut, reshaped, and ported EVERYWHERE!! This will provide your stock manifold more airflow across the board, especially up top. Get the performance of a great intake manifold for a more affordable price.
This manifold was benchflowed before and after to ensure a quality, and more balanced flow between runners than the stock version provides. We were able to perfectly flow match runners 1 & 2 and reduce the overall flow imbalance between the best runner and worst (1 & 4 respectively) by more than 34%. This will mean the stresses will be more evenly distributed over your motor.
Our first test car was a stock turbo'd '06 Evo on an aggressive 93 pump tune. Initial testing shows an impressive +47tq and +35hp at 3800rpm and still had gains up until 6500rpm where the curve matched the stock manifold from there out due to fuel limitations. Expect more results from bigger turbos, and more revs as this manifold will help you really breathe above 7500rpm. More testing will be shown once it becomes available.
Optionally there is an advanced ceramic coating option that helps control heat soak in your manifold. The outside is coated in a thermal barrier (available in black only) that not only looks great, but actually helps pull heat out of the manifold. Not only that, but there is a thermal blocking coating that is on the flange that when combined with one of our spacers, will allow you to hold on to your manifold even after hard use at the track. A must for anyone wanting cooler intake temps and more consistent times.
Core Options
You have the option to send in your stock manifold for porting service or you can request that we perform the work on an MAP supplied manifold. If you choose to use an MAP supplied manifold there will be an additional core charge as outlined in the options below. This core charge is fully refundable should you decide to send back your stock manifold at a later date. Please note core returns must be in good useable condition to be eligible for a core refund.

In tradition of our high quality power proven, yet quite affordable products comes the latest option for Mitsubishi Evolution 7/8/9 intake manifolds. Just as our DSM and SRT-4 manifolds have increased power on many of customer cars, be certain that the same will happen with your Evo and this intake manifold. Introducing our aluminum sheetmetal intake manifold. These are hand made, TIG welded from high quality 6061 T6 aluminum. The flanges are all CNC machined and surfaced for precise fitment and a leak free seal. Each plenum is press bent to reduce the number of welds which will assure maximum strength under high boost applications. The plenum measures 16" long by 4 1/4" deep, the plenum also features a 1" taper design to even out the airflow, with a runner length of 5 1/4". Velocity stacks are CNC machined into each plenum bottom to improve airflow by 10-15%. The vacuum ports are placed on the underside of the plenum for a clean professional look. They are available unpolished or with a mirror like polish. Each manifold comes with a custom made SS dipstick tube. Some modifications to your upper intercooler pipes may be needed as this manifold sits down a lot lower then stock. Why believe hype when you can see actual dyno results that this manifold works. A local Evo specialist shop nearby in the tri-state area did some testing on one of their customer cars and we were more than excited when we saw the results. The test vehicle was an ’06 Evo 9 MR, stock bottom end, Turbo Trix Racing 280 cams, 1000cc injectors, Walbro pump, TTR 50 trim kit & IC piping kit, SMC alky kit being ran on all runs and AEM EMS for engine management. The runs were done back to back, same day—same dyno—same boost (32psi), with only the intake manifold being swapped out. Prior to our intake manifold install, the car was fine tuned to an impressive 494.5hp, 441.28 ft/tq which is extremely rare to see a 50 trim car making such power. With our intake manifold bolted on, the car spun the rollers to an even more impressive 512.39hp and 461.4 ft/tq ! Horsepower was ABOVE the stock intake manifold graph virtually the entire run too, starting at 3500—just see the graph below for yourself. You may think 18 peak hp and 20 ft/tq isn’t really all that much, but also keep in mind that this car was practically maxed out on it’s current setup. At mid-range RPMs the gains were even larger increasing power by 41hp! Put this on a 35r or larger turbo’ed car that loves to pump a lot of volume and breathe up top and expect 1.5-2 times those gains! We’ve seen it with the DSM’s, and know this is possible.
So if you’re ready to step it up and make the most out of your current Evo mods, then consider swapping out that tiny restrictive intake manifold for a JMF sheet metal intake. It’s proven power!
